Building A Life Around
Managing ADHD
“To tell a person who has ADD to try harder is about as helpful as telling someone who is nearsighted to squint harder.”
Ned Hallowell MD
—Meet Patrick!
How I coach:
To me, coaching is a collaborative, client-driven partnership and is most productive when clients take an active role in the process of managing their ADHD. Throughout the coaching journey, I’m willing to offer suggestions and, when solicited, give honest and respectful feedback. The client decides the direction of the coaching, the coach is the guard rails along the journey.
Who I am:
I am trained by The ADHD Coaches Academy [ADDCA], the gold standard in ADHD coach training. I study extensively both the current scientific research as well as the public media related to ADHD. I live with ADHD and have spent the last ten building a life around managing it.
I love working in the field of ADHD. I am enthusiastically positive, unflappable, and non-judgemental. I am a restorative problem solver and see the best in people. I believe when ADHD is properly managed, a person can placate its negatives, allowing their strengths to flourish and becoming the most authentic version of themselves.
Why me:
I will not tell you that ADHD is a superpower or that it is going to make your life better. I love and work with people that hold that belief. Coaching is client driven, I support your view on ADHD. ADHD is difficult not only for us, but for our families and friends. Life can be challenging, your experiences and feelings are valid. Coaching with me is active. It is assertively addressing the ADHD. It is saying, “I don’t want to be like this anymore. I want ADHD to stop defeating me. I don’t want to let ADHD bring me down. I want to be the best most authentic version of myself.”
