Learn More About ADHD

Where to learn more about ADHD?

Organizations and Information

This list is just a sampling of the resources and wealth of information about ADHD. I routinely update the fun things section

  • ADDA- great for connecting with others that have ADHD, hosts a number of great support groups. I have been a member of ADDA for years and serve on their peer support group planning committee

  • ADDitude Magazine - one of the best places for accessible, understandable, and scientifically support information. This is the first place on the internet that I recommend people go to to learn more about ADHD

  • Impact Parents - parent coaching for parents raising complex kids. I have worked with this organization and have tremendous respect for what they do

  • ADDCA- ADHD coaches academy, where I did my coach training. They are the oldest ADHD coach training organization and are the gold standard for ADHD coaching

  • CHADD - the oldest and largest ADHD organization, great for advocacy and in person support groups

Fun things:

  • Dani Donovan - I am a big fan of hers, ADHD comics and home of the Anti Planner, an activity book for procrastinators

  • ADHD Alien - awesome comics about ADHD

Books/audiobooks I recommend

Check out my GoodReads ADHD Shelf.

libro.fm - where to get audiobooks. This is greatest organization I know. A portion of your money goes to the indie book store of your choosing [Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill]. They support marginalized voices, neurodiversity, independent bookstores, and everything that is good in the world. I love them so much.

Indie book finder - find the independent book store near you

Support independent bookstores

If you find a book from my GoodReads or simply in general, please do not buy it from Amazon or listen to it on Amazon owned audible. Where ever you live, support your local indie bookstore. You can order books from indie stores if there is not one close to you. Most importantly; Amazon, libro.fm, physical, audio, comic, picture, hard cover, soft cover, it does not matter how you consume them, have fun and read books
